Meryl Streep in Ricki and the Flash

Mission Impossible: Rouge Nation scored the #1 spot this weekend at the box office with $55.5 million.  Rouge Nation becomes the third highest opening weekend film ever for Tom Cruise.  (Deadline)

Looks like Derek Zoolander hasn’t matured over the last 14 years as the first teaser trailer for Zoolander 2 showcases everyone’s favorite male model’s most pressing life question. (The Hollywood Reporter)

The filthy anti-hero Deadpool finally publicly released his snarky, action-packed trailer for his Deadpool film out next February. Two versions were released – one clean and another highly explicit. Views for the NSFW trailer are greatly outpacing the version you can show Grandma. Deadpool tells the origin story of Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) beating terminal cancer by transforming into an impenetrable anti-superhero by scientists. (YouTube)

Viral video agency Thinkmodo released a hot stunt to promote the latest reboot of Fantastic Four with a flaming human-shaped drone – a la the Human Torch – flying through the air. Goes without saying, but don’t try this at home. (Adweek)

Paramount Pictures purchased the film rights to UFC fighter Ronda Rousey’s New York Times best-selling autobiography, My Fight/Your Fight. Rousey is set to produce and star as herself.  (Variety)

The next toy to get the big screen treatment? PEZ candy.  Envision Media Arts sees box office potential in the iconic candy brand that dispenses little fruity tablets from the heads of popular characters.  (Entertainment Weekly)

Taking a break from filming the latest Ghostbusters movie , Melissa McCartney, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones and Kate McMinnon in full Ghostbusting gear surprised patients at the Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center in Boston.  (Collider)

Shaun the Sheep has spoofed some of this year’s hottest movie postersFantastic Flock, Ant-Lamb, Muttons, Mutton Impossible: Rogue Bacon and more. The animated film, from the creators of Wallace & Gromit and Chicken Run, is based on the popular British stop-motion animated television series. (Yahoo! Movies)

Opening this weekend:  Marvel’s power quartet Fantastic Four, Jason Bateman’s thriller The Gift, Shaun the Sheep and Meryl Streep in Ricki and the Flash.
