Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart will host the 2016 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, April 10. The duo stars together in this summer’s movie “Central Intelligence.” (Variety)

Ava DuVernay will direct Disney’s latest film adaptation, A Wrinkle in Time, based on the much-loved young adult science fiction novel by Madeleine L’Engle  (IGN)

Jennifer Aniston, Jason Bateman, Kate McKinnon and T.J. Miller are all set to star in DreamWorks Pictures’ Office Christmas Party, expected in theaters December 9, 2016. Specific plot details are still a mystery but sources say the film “follows a cast of characters who have to contend with an office party gone wrong.”  (Deadline)

Disney unveiled the first teaser trailer for Pete’s Dragon, a modern day remake of the 1977 classic.  Pete, a feral child who has spent his whole life living in the woods, insists he wasn’t alone out there when discovered by park rangers. (Time)

Take the day off and celebrate all things Bueller when Chicago hosts Ferris Fest from May 20-22 to celebrate Ferris Bueller’s Day Off’s 30th anniversary. The three-day festival includes an opportunity to experience a 360-degree replica of Ferris’s bedroom, a live recreation of the Twist and Shout parade sequence and a bus tour visiting the key sites from the movie. The April edition of Empire Magazine is all about Captain America: Civil War. In it, the magazine reveals exclusive details about the impending war between Captain America and Iron Man, as well as a first look at Crossbones (Frank Grillo), Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and Pepper Potts’s (Gwyneth Paltrow) small, but vital cameo. The Storino family’s adorable recreations of Oscar’s Best Picture nominees are still going strong six years later. This year’s images, from The Martian to The Revenant, could just be Sadie, Sophia and Sloane’s best batch yet.  (Mashable)
