Zootopia made history at the box office over the weekend when it scored the largest opening ever for a Walt Disney Animation Studios film with $75.1 million, besting Frozen’s previous record of $67.4 million. (Deadline)

With a little over two weeks remaining until the March 25 showdown of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, experts are forecasting that the DC superhero battle could open to at least $140 million. (The Hollywood Reporter)

Sony Pictures released the highly anticipated first trailer of the Ghostbusters reboot with the new ghostbusting team (Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCartney, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones) investigating the paranormal activity haunting the streets of New York. The trailer pulled in over 24 million views in the first 24 hours alone. (Variety)

Who will take home the Golden Popcorn during next month’s MTV Movie Awards? Star Wars: The Force Awakens leads the pack with 11 nominations, and fans can cast their vote their favorites at MovieAwards.MTV.com through Sunday, March 20.
