Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

In the past week, we’ve seen a huge influx of new trailers including ones for X-Men: Apocalypse, Central Intelligence, The Legend of Tarzan, The Huntsman: Winter’s War, Ben-Hur and Bridget Jones’s Baby.

Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice is looking for a massive box office opening this weekend, with projections eyeing $150 M for the superhero battle. (Variety)

Warner Bros. has added four new films to its slate in 2017, including Ben Affleck’s next directorial project, Live by Night, and the horror sequel Annabelle 2. (The Hollywood Reporter)

Emma Stone will play Rosemary Kennedy in the upcoming Letters from Rosemary. The script tells the story of the first-born daughter to Rose Fitzgerald and Joseph Kennedy Sr. and the eldest sister of President John F. Kennedy and senators Robert F. Kennedy and Ted Kennedy. After displaying behavioral problems due to a mental disability that was long kept secret, her father arranged one of the first prefrontal lobotomies for her when she was 23, leaving her permanently incapacitated. The cast of Disney’s live-action film adaptation, The Jungle Book, posed alongside their CGI animal counterparts in these breathtaking portraits. (Forbes)

Margot Robbie will star in an upcoming biopic based on the life of disgraced former U.S. Olympic skater, Tonya Harding. (Deadline)

Amber Heard will make her DC Comics debut as Aquaman’s wife, the Atlantean warrior queen Mera, in next year’s Justice League. She’ll also later star in 2018’s Aquaman alongside Games of Thrones’ Jason Momoa in the title role. (New York Daily News)

USA Today is pitting superhero vs. superhero in honor of March Madness and the two major ‘hero-fighting-hero’ films heading to theaters. In the 32-character tournament of Marvel vs. DC, fans can pick their favorites to win until one hero is left standing.

Star Wars’ Daisy Ridley as the next Lara Croft?! The actress confirms conversations around the role have taken place, but no official offer yet. (moviefone)
