The superhero showdown Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice defied the critics and took home a record-breaking $166.1 during opening weekend. The epic battle is now the seventh-biggest domestic opening of all time as well as the highest March, Easter and Spring opening. (Entertainment Weekly)

The Lego Batman Movie surprised fans this week with not one but two new trailers! One features a sneak peak of the Batcave and crime fighting with the other Lego Justice League members while the surprise second trailer features a scene between Batman (Will Arnett) and Alfred (Ralph Fiennes). Sir Paul McCartney will be making a special cameo appearance in Disney’s 2017 release of  Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. (Deadline)
