Suicide Squad

Only days away from its world premiere, Suicide Squad has already broken a record, becoming Fandango’s top grossing August ticket pre-seller, besting previous record holders Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) and Straight Outta Compton (2015). (The Wrap)

In collaboration with Warner Bros. & Buzzfeed, Twitter live streamed its first-ever red carpet premiere, Suicide Squad. (MovieWeb)

After its record-breaking performance, The Secret Life of Pets will be back for a sequel set for July 13, 2018. (Variety)

It hasn’t even hit theaters yet, but Warner Bros. has already confirmed that there will be a sequel and a third film in the Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them universe – the sequel will hit theaters in 2018, and the third film in 2020. J.K. Rowling will script, and David Yates, who helmed Fantastic Beasts and four previous Potter films, will direct the project. (USA Today)
