Let’s talk about the top stories in Hollywood this week!

Gal Gadot and Patty Jenkins revealed the first photos for their Wonder Woman sequel, Wonder Woman 1984. The first of two photos shows Wonder Woman staring at a wall of TVs, while the second confirms Chris Pine’s character, Steve Trevor, will return. (Twitter)

While we wait for the Wonder Woman sequel, Gadot will be working on a new project with Dwayne Johnson. Titled Red Notice, Gadot’s first starring role outside the DC Universe will see her as a “brilliant and mysterious figure” in a globe-trotting action-comedy. Production will begin April 2019 and the film will release June 12, 2020. (Deadline)

Avengers: Infinity War became the fourth film in history to pass the $2 billion mark at the global box office in just 48 days. Domestically, Infinity War is the fifth highest-grossing film of all time, and the third-highest internationally. (Variety)

Al Pacino is joining the cast of Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. This is the first film in which the legendary actor and director will collaborate. Recent additions to the all-star cast also include James Marsden, Dakota Fanning, Julia Butters, Damian Lewis and Luke Perry. Tarantino’s ninth film hits theaters August 9, 2019. Jon Cena is replacing Sylvester Stallone as Jackie Chan’s co-star in Project X (working title). Directed by Need for Speed’s Scott Waugh, the film finds Cena and Chan’s characters teaming up to save a China-run oil refinery in the Middle East. There are no details on the release date. In 2020, four years after their big screen success, the Trolls will be back in theaters for Trolls World Tour, DreamWorks confirmed. According to the film’s synopsis, a “mysterious threat” forces Poppy, Branch and their friends to “create harmony among the diverse Trolls” in separate worlds defined by different music genres. The film is currently slated for release on April 17, 2020. (/Film)

Marvel Studios released a new series of 10th Anniversary character posters, as well as a website containing the timeline of all MCU films to date. The timeline can be filtered based on character, franchise and even films in which specific Infinity Stones appeared. (Marvel Studios)

The Hunger Games director Francis Lawrence will helm an adaptation of the Gawker v. Hulk Hogan court case titled Conspiracy: Peter Thiel, Hulk Hogan, Gawker, and the Anatomy of Intrigue. This is the second adaptation in the works about the infamous media company, the first being Jason Winer’s Gawker v. Thiel. (Hollywood Reporter)

Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi shared a first photo from his next film Jojo Rabbit. The anti-war comedy finds Waititi as a young boy’s imaginary friend, Adolf Hitler. The project is currently in production with no release date confirmed. (/Film)
