Let’s talk about the top stories in Hollywood this week!

Sonic the Hedgehog topped the domestic box office for a second time, earning over $26 million – bringing its total to $106.6 million. The Call of the Wild debuted in second place at $24.8 million, surpassing early projections. Rounding out the top 3 was Warner Bros.’ Birds of Prey, which kicked up an additional $6.7 million domestically in its third frame, bringing its overall domestic total to $72.3 million. Get the kiddies ready – PAW Patrol is on its way to the big screen! Nickelodeon’s hit preschool TV series follows the adventures of a tech-savvy boy named Ryder and his team of pups – Chase, Marshall, Rubble, Zuma, Rocky and Skye – who are ready to save the day and to keep Adventure Bay safe. The film, which is eyeing an August 2021 release, is the first in several feature films in the works by Spin Master’s Entertainment division. (Deadline)

Jurassic World 3 has received an official title, plus new cast members. The film’s director, Colin Trevorrow, revealed in a tweet that the franchise’s sixth film will officially be named Jurassic World: Dominion. It was also announced that Venom actor Scott Haze, Dichen Lachman, Mamoudou Athie and DeWanda Wise will be joining the star-studded cast. Scheduled to hit theaters June 2021, Jurassic World: Dominion will complete the Jurassic World trilogy. (Variety) (ScreenRant)

The cast of Disney Pixar’s Onward sat down with our friends at Noovie to for an exclusive behind-the scenes look at their characters and this magical movie. Directed by Dan Scanlon, the film stars Tom Holland, Chris Pratt, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Octavia L. Spencer, who aptly described the new animated film as a “wild ride.” Onward opens nationwide on March 6th, 2020. Get to the theater early to catch this great Noovie Backlot piece on the big screen!
